Lovejoy, Jr., a resident of Lexington, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026. He was 68. Born in Munchweiler, Germany, on December 17, 1957, Paul was one of three children of the late Paul E. Lovejoy and Ingrid (Schweingruber) Lovejoy. He was raised in Melrose and graduated from Melrose High School with the Class of 1976. He went on to serve in the United States Army Reserves before continuing his education at Bunker Hill Community College, where he earned his degree in computing. Following in his father's footsteps, Paul developed a lifelong interest in computers and technology. He worked for many years in the field of information technology throughout the Boston area. Known for his hands-on approach, Paul enjoyed building computers from the ground up and had a sharp mind for troubleshooting and repairing electronics. Continuing a family tradition, Paul became a Mason at Wyoming Lodge AF&AM in Melrose, honoring the legacy of his father and grandfather. He also shared a great love and appreciation for time spent in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, especially Alton Bay, where he enjoyed being on the water with his family.Quiet and easygoing by nature, Paul valued his family connections and held them close throughout his life. He will be remembered with love and will be deeply missed. Paul was the loving father of Bridget Lovejoy of Charlestown, and Brendan Lovejoy and his wife Mylissa of Manchester, NH. Grandfather of Brendan Charles Lovejoy. Dear brother of Ilona Lovejoy Dolaher and her husband Edward Dolaher, Jr. of E. Wakefield, NH and Peter Lovejoy of Salem. Former brother-in-law of Elizabeth Dolaher of Hudson, NH. Partner of Rita Scott of Somerville. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather in honor of Paul during Visiting Hours at the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, Melrose on Thursday, April 2 from 3-6 PM. Gifts in his memory may be made to the Edinburg Center, 205 Burlington Rd., Bedford, MA 01730.</p>
