Kathleen F. Mcateer

I was sad to hear of Kathleen's passing! She was an inspiration to me! She researched the founder of the Beverly School for the Deaf and traveled by public transportation and taxi to William B. Swett's birthplace. When she found out that William B. Swett was buried in Beverly, MA not in Henneker, NH, she wrote to the city hall in Henneker to let them know, showing proof. She was an amazing expert on the history of the school and of the founder. She spent hours, days and weeks on this research. Much of what she has done has been donated to the William B. Swett Museum located in the Children's Center for Communication in Beverly MA. I am honored to have met with her and learn from her. May she rest in peace! ❤️
